Kris has over 15 years of Board search experience, first with a regional executive recruiting firm, and then with her own Stred Executive Search LLC. She has a proven ability to recruit highly qualified director candidates nationwide. She has successfully completed searches for directors in many different industries, including financial services, logistics, retailers and wholesale distributors. The first 20 years of her career, before becoming a recruiter, was as a lawyer to publicly-traded and privately-held companies. Those experiences give her a strong grounding in the Board’s responsibilities and challenges. She has had first-hand involvement with the Board’s fiduciary duties in high-stakes situations and the important dynamics of teams of business leaders. Kristin holds the NACD’s Certificate of Director Education and has served on several boards, including both not-for-profit and for-profit enterprises.
In her free time, Kris loves to travel and hike in the empty areas of our national parks. She is always challenging herself to learn something new. Currently she is learning to play electric bass guitar to classic rock and roll songs and trying to learn to read and speak Swedish.
