Jake joined Noto Group as a Researcher in November of 2021. In his role, he collaborates closely with the research and recruiting team to cultivate and maintain a robust network of candidates for each search. Jake manages various aspects of the recruitment cycle for Manager and Director level positions including candidate management, client communication, and sourcing. Drawing on his research background, Jake strives to develop an efficient and effective sourcing process using Noto Group’s comprehensive candidate database. In addition to his research skills, Jake also acts as the first point of contact for new potential candidates. He keeps the firm up to date with industry trends by identifying emerging tools and new AI driven resources to enhance recruitment efforts.
Prior to Noto Group, Jake sharpened his research skills during internships at the Small Business Legal Clinic at Lewis & Clark Law School and at Eastbank Legal. He continued to hone his research capabilities in these positions as well as developing a familiarity with the corporate legal process.
A Pacific Northwest native, Jake was raised between Oregon and Washington, with a few formative years spent in Amsterdam. Jake developed his trademarked positive attitude after a challenging battle with bone cancer at a young age and continues to spread his cheerful outlook in both his personal and professional life. After college in Walla Walla, Jake returned to Portland to pursue his career with Noto Group. In his free time, Jake enjoys hiking, tennis, volleyball, audiobooks, board & video games, painting, running a top-notch game of Dungeons & Dragons, and spending time with his fluffy cat.
